If you had the chance to ask our TALP Open judges a question what would it be? Haidee-Jo Summers and David Curtis have agreed to be interviewed in the galleries at Patchings next month and we will select a few questions from forum members to ask them.
My question….in judging a piece of work, which do you consider more important - skill/ technique or creating a mood? I’m aware that a piece can have both but it’s not always the case.
My question is how do you agree with one another.  Artists and their creativity don't follow a pattern  nothing is set in stone so what criteria do you work to.?
My question…. When judging entries do you let your own personal style of painting influence your choice?

I would ask, what qualities do judges possess in order that they can keep an open mind on art, that isn't within their preferred style or media. I would also like to know if they just look at a painting or consider the artist behind the painting. Do they get a feeling of the artist within the painting, I think that's what I mean.
My question is similar to Sylvia’s - what main criteria do the judges work to when selecting an artwork - and are these the same for both The Artist and Leisure Painter categories?

Same. I also want to ask the same question as yours. By the way, does anyone over here is searching for an essay writer? If you are going to say yes, then you can check out about TrustMyPaper essay writers who are good and whenever I want to take help regarding my essay assignments, I always prefer them first.
