Not of interest to members who don’t enter competitions, but there are quite a few who do, including myself! I’ve just seen this which looks as though Tim Fisher is advertising the competition for this year. Good news for many of us, albeit it was flagged up as going ahead last year, but didn’t… Perhaps the management team could confirm this… if they’re looking in!

Alan, what you have shared is a screen shot from our 'Recommended Artists' section on the website, of Tim Fisher standing in front of our stand, STAND 26, at a previous Patchings Show.  We would suggest if you wish to know more about the show you contact the show organisers.

Oh I see, my error but a coincidence that it was stand 26, which I thought was 2026!

Alan. Not sure about competitions but the new owners at Patchings say they will be putting on a festival next year.

Thanks Kris… Festival next year, 2027…  l was only really interested in the open competition in conjunction with The Artist, which has been running for years, up until recently of course, with Patchings being sold etc… Looks like it won’t be an annual event any more, so that’s another good competition off the calendar…  A few of us on here will be disappointed, Marjorie used to enter every year, as I did, and we both enjoyed some success!

Alan, as well as entering, (I like to “muse” and push myself), I liked the fact that you could visit the festival and the marquees as well as seeing all the chosen pieces. It’s a long way from where I live ( Northumberland) but that, in itself, was enjoyable.

Yes Marjorie, I know it was an annual pilgrimage so to speak. I used to rely on you sending me a photo of my artwork or sometimes artworks in situ… You never know, the competition might return at some point in the future. Patchings may decide to organise one themselves!
