I am in the process of booking a week stand at Pine Walk, lower gardens open air show starting July 11th. I did it about 5 yrs back and was good fun as well as good footfall and sales. You get a covered stand, pegboard display. space and overnight secure storage. Only need to get my caravan onto a local site with electric and toilets with a good bus route. Probably where we stayed last week but looking for discounts off them, not likely I fear so will have to bite the bullet. Not a holiday either and it's only me. Any nice folk in here have a bit of parking I could use?

Cheers Morgan. Just firmed up everything today including a handy camp site on the bus route. Need to sort odd things like paintings, frames, mounts etc etc etc

Tried to sort out work I want to show at B/Mouth. The new style is more important as it's me - now. Other decisions like what to frame, what is already framed (all old style but I think some will be attractive), what seaside scenes have I? Have been taking off exisiting mounts and to keep cost down finding the right size of new work to insert (will need to re-cover them all with film), make sure I have signed the new work, such a lot of it in the finished stack, variation of subjects - city, land, sea scapes, life, still life, absract. Hopefully by then - certainly the weather will try and hold fine, but there should be plenty of tourists and families about by early July. The Pine Walk is a very natural route from the Square and shopping malls to the beach and its pier so footfall should be good.

Can anyone on IOW help me please? Looks like I am being let down by the chap framing and mounting a few works which are DEFINITELY needed on my show at Bournemouth in a weeks time. I am travelling to Cowes tomorrow morning and will be on IOW for a week. Need someone who can do the job for me if I bring them over.

Yippee!!!!!!!!!! My chap has done it all and more than I asked, so now sorted and just going through labels and stuff. Thanks RJ for your help and link. I have advised him that I won't be calling on him.

Looking at your post with your sketches, I wondered why you said you were away for a fortnight - this stand is the 2nd week away. Have a great time Derek, hope the weather is good to you and you get lots of visitors.
