To all those artists desperate for a bit of local recognition .....
three years ago I persuaded my huge, local garden centre to adopt me and my garden studio ( a double summerhouse) ... and it has been an amazing success for everyone. I am well known in my area, I have permanent and successful exhibition space ( for 12 local artists) in the busy restaurant and I have lots of visitors to my studio, which was dismantled and rebuilt in between the roses and the apple trees !
I am now running regular Painting Days for complete beginners, and weekly classes for intermediates ... I get regular attention from the local press and everyone knows who I am and where I can be found painting !
All I can say is ... go for it and make the most of all oportunities !
ps...No, I don't paint flowers !
