Up til now most of my drawings have been on Derwent drawing paper but I'd like to expand to drawing (I use graphite sticks, pencils and powder) on other surfaces. My technigue is to build the depth slowly from a light 4H to a deep 9B and I use a putty and electric rubbers to take light before working into it again. Therefore the surface has to be quite resilient . Has anyone used other surfaces - mountboard comes to mind but the white surface isn't that thick. Would MDF painted work? Also I'm after a brilliant white heavy duty drawing paper! Jools www.juliemeese.co.uk www.juliemeese.wordpress.com
