I'm really enjoying these posts. Some are reaching skill levels that are off the scale but I find them all inspiring. Thea's drawing is wonderful, only children could sit comfortably with a foot in that position.
I agree with Russell, this is an excellent thread. Graphite and charcoal have such versatility, the above posts are testament to that. Incredible talent and skill on show. I’m not a patient person and I’m not particularly a fan of great detail, but, I really enjoyed drawing this example. Apologies for the rubbish photo!

I'm enjoying this thread too and Marjorie your cats are great and Alan your boat is super as well.  Don't think this famous drawing has been posted but Albrecht Durer's praying hands are awesome
My graphite sketch from Slimbridge.
That’s brilliant Fiona, as is your Slimbridge drawing George.  Great to have you posting, all the POL artists drawings I’ve posted above came from my wall (the one you get with POL membership.  I only post other people’s work on my wall.   Sometimes I forget to do it, which means I have to go searching.  I like to have a mix of drawings from POL’s many excellent graphite artists plus those I’ve found online.)
Certainly some very fine work. George’s ducks - brilliant! Dürer’s hands, wonderful. Fiona’s excellent pencil work - come back Fiona! All is forgiven!😄
As I'm busy procrastinating about what I'm going to do, I'd thought I'd add a few more to this thread...then at least I'll have done something. A POL artist:  Alice Hole - pencil.  Alice creates some wonderful images. Paul West - charcoal.  He gets some dense blacks into his work. A POL artist: Fiona Phipps - 'If you go down into the woods' - Pencil.  It's a decaying fallen tree but Fiona has let loose her imagination.  It's one of those 'the more you look, the more you see' pictures.  I like them.  Often you can see things that may not be there.  For instance, about middle right, I'm seeing a man's head, leaning down to look at the image of a crow.  There are also several fishes 'swimming' about this tree.  So, if this isn't an offbeat interpretation, I may have to get treatment.  Just love it! Pencil drawing by an unknown  artist...I hate those websites that don't give you the artist's name. A POL artist:  Russell Edwards -  'Near Erddig' - graphite.  Everything about it...just brilliant. Franco Clun - Pencil - he specialises in hyper realistic pencil drawings.  This is a beaut. A POL artist:  Stephen Hulse - pencil.  Stephen has the knack of simplifying things it seems to me.  The result is beautiful, and, of course, it's NOT simple at all! Ronnie  Tucker - charcoal. I'll end for now with this super charcoal drawing by Marjorie.  One of our resident geniuses.
Sorry, seem to have posted twice.
