More please Linda, that’s a belter of a drawing. My sausage fingers that caused a double post are merely confirming it really IS a belter.

And Lew, that was a wonderful introduction! You’ve inspired some great responses.
Yes indeed , a fabulous introduction Lewis and thank you for including a drawing of mine. The pencil is probably the art medium most of us started with when we were children and we're still all trying to master it! What can be achieved with a pencil and a piece of paper though can be truly mind boggling - this is Jono Dry and I rest my case.
Didn't know that artist Russell...as you say mind-blowing.  There are so many fantastic artists out there.
A few more POL artists. Jiri Keller's pencil portrait of John Pilger... ...look at the very loose mark making on the face.  It works perfectly.  I admire Jiri's work, this one in particular. Above:   A very powerful and doleful pencil drawing by Michael Hanrahan.  We don't often see Michael's pencil work.  This is a real beauty. Greyhound by Sean Duffy.  Just great. Pencil drawing by Glennis Weston.  So very good. Alan Bickley - charcoal and white conte - plein air - 15 minutes:  I don't know how he does it, it takes me 15 minutes to make the first mark.  A terrific sketch. I love this one  from Russell.  'Ogre Hunting'.  The child up on her tip toes is perfect.
Monochrome?
The late Mr Stoppard - instantly recognizable;  there are those who can do that in whatever medium they choose, those who can't, even for a whole bag of toffees, and those who struggle, think they've got it, come back later and find they haven't.  I lie between the second and third categories.
Thank you Robert.  It was hard not to reach for a non-blue hue!
Some pencil drawings I like. Shania McDonagh... Shania was a 16 year old art prodigy when she produced these hyper-realist pencil drawings. Shane Wise Shane Wise. Katarzyna Kmiecik. Melanie Phillips  Ninjaa.
All excellent and proof that there are so many different ways to use graphite in art; it's so very versatile.
Amazing and inspirational.
Agree with Russell, thanks everyone for sharing
