It's just struck me where I've seen houses in these great colours before - not in Wales, but in Ireland - I'd quite like to live in a world like this: but I've also noticed, taking a closer look at that painting of the dog, plus a couple of others less noticeably, that it looks as though the painting has been assembled by sticking bits into place - there's a distinct framing around part of the dog's head, which could be something stuck over the painting, or that the artist has just carefully varnished that part of it to make it stand out.
I like these little mysteries!

Robert, this is another image of the dog from her gallery - it’s described as a print under glass and doesn’t have that ‘framing’ you mentioned (I also wondered about that) - looks like that might have been a reflection in the glass when a different photo of it was taken.

I just ran across these comments on my work. I would like to clarify a couple of things. First of all, I am not a hyperrealist. My work is 30" x 22" so what you see online is a much scaled down image therefore making it appear more defined than it actually is. Secondly, I use Arches 300# rough paper. I use rough paper so it does not allow me to get overly detailed. This is the caveat for looking at art online. :)
