One more for luck:
Great choice Robert, I've followed Alan Owen in LP and had a go at some of his lessons.  Excellent work.
A superb artist whose work I have admired for for quite a while . His style / styles are always beautifully executed , he has the ability to make it look easy when it’s quite often anything but . I will look through his work again and select a couple that I particularly like.
Alan was very kind to me when I first started posting on the gallery, as were many others, but it was Alan’s guidance and encouragement that spurred me on to improve. He has a very comfortable and relaxed style of teaching which makes you feel at ease and that you can succeed.  A lovely man, long may he continue to teach and inspire.
Some more of his superb painting , hope I haven’t duplicated.
Thought I would bring it back into the current postings , to good to drop off the top few.
Thanks Dixie I was trying to play catch up and there it was...gone. Jenny Mc Cabe   ..,wow ,just so beautiful. Another new name to me,  thank you "our" Jenny for that lovely introduction. Well Alan is one of our own and  his work just sings "class", "expertise" , " talent" and "knowledge. Like Fiona I have memories of his kindness ,he sent me a DVD where he was doing his beautiful painting and as Robert pointed out was chuntering. along with  his brush,   I seem to remember references to a cup of tea and telling the dog to stop barking .  A good Wigan fella.  ".
Thank you all,for taking part and sharing you views and choices of paintings. Next week we have a special treat , Lewis Cooper will be sharing his favourite artists and their work with us , I’m certainly looking forward to it , Lew has done some excellent presentations for us over the last year or so. A big thanks to him for taking it on , I have no doubt it has taken a lot of preparation knowing how he works and high standard he sets himself.
Well rhat will be a joke.
Always of interest to view and read, Dixie, even though I rarely contribute to this thread, I appreciate the work that goes into the presentation. I too, am looking forward to Lewis's choices.
