Have we seen him before Dixie? I seem to remember the last one of the children on the riverbank? Lovely work, bears looking at a second time.
Don’t remember seeing his work before - have picked a couple of his watercolours that I really like.

I had a feeling that I had seen his work before, I looked back but can’t find a thread with his name on . I look at so many before posting them that Im never quite sure. I will do another check .
A few of these DO look familiar - as does the name: but they're well worth seeing again, and certainly that very lovely portrait (watercolour?  Could be oil and Turpentine) hasn't been shown before, because I'm sure I'd remember it.
As I have made a mistake and featured a artist already seen I will leave his work on until tomorrow afternoon and then introduce Christopher Zhang . Sorry folks this is what happens when you leave thing to the last minute , I even checked against the list and did not notice we had seen McKelvey’s artwork over the Christmas period. What a silly old sod , double check next time .

I agree Dixie. I like his inclusion of children in the landscape. I believe many of his coastal scenes are Northern Ireland. I don’t think he was an artist who travelled? Someone will know if I’m wrong!
You are right Tessa he spent most of his time painting in Northern Ireland . In contrast  his painting have however traveled the world  particularly American where a lot of  American/ Irish family’s have  nostalgic paintings etc of the old country .
Nothing wrong with revisiting interesting art Dixie.  Would you go to the National Gallery only once?
