Welcome to this weekends bonus artist Raelene Sharp a Australian portrait artist who was born in 1957. I hope you enjoy her artwork.
Her pastel portraits are beautiful ,  just shows what can be done with the humble pastel when in the right hands .

She has an appealing style, Paul - I particularly like the third one down in your first post with the contrast between the dark seated figure and the muted background - and her pastel work is really lovely, I chose the same one as you (larger version below).  Like the way she treats the background in her pastels.

Lovely work.  There are so many good artists around, I wonder how they all make a living. I think you've fallen foul of google's search engine.   The big-eyed girl with DUY PHAN written on the bottom is a different artist.  That's his name and this pic appears on his website.
You chose my favourite one Jenny unfortunately I couldn’t find a larger one and thought I might mess it up trying to enlarge it . Your version is superb and I can see more clearly why I particularly like it she certainly does make them pastels work .
Thanks Lew I did not spot the name for some reason , I will remove it . I bet there are thousand of artists that we will never know about , I have a list of about 100 or so for the bonus artist thread alone .
Another interesting (and to me unknown) artist. I like her relaxed posing of her subjects. She also paints some attractive landscapes which you can see on her website. I’ll only post one here as again if I save some they come out a bit blurred, not sure why!
That’s lovely Tessa , I tried to copy a couple of landscapes but without success they do come up out of focus. Her landscape are very good and I wasn’t a waste of time as I found this absolutely brilliant portrait my new favourite.
In many of her portraits - the landscape is lovely, by the way! - she takes full advantage of a strong light source and the revealing contrasts it reveals.  The old gentleman with the glass of cognac appeals to me - for not exclusively aesthetic reasons, though cognac is a work of art in itself - and the last portrait shown above, the old man with a stick, is a sublime example of this artist's work.  An artist of whom, once again, I had never heard before.
I really like her portrait work Paul, lovely and bright, I had not come across this artist before.
A fabulous choice and a new delight to me....I think it's the small Aboriginal child who has done it for me.
New to me but what a talented artist! Her portraits are breathtaking ! I am amazed they are pastel …
