The first one stands out for me - and the heron. But all are very enigmatic.
I like them all
Marjorie, it was the one of the heron that first drew me to his work - it was among the paintings by various artists that Lewis posted a while ago.  I think my favourite is the second one of the above selection.  All are very colourful, bold, and, as you say, quite enigmatic.

Absolutely fabulous art. Colours, subjects, forms, shapes, wonderful.
We must have this one as well.
Some more of his excellent work.

Terrific work, very eye catching and has great impact. Thanks Jenny.
Oliver Pyle  is an established and successful British watercolour landscapes artist based in Sussex .  I will used let his own words to describe his feelings about his artwork. Some of his superb artwork that I have selected , I could have posted so many more of his superb landscapes.
I have to admit I’m not usually bowled over by watercolour work but these have hit the spot! I can see his love of the countryside subjects and that old red phone box is a smasher, so familiar to our generation (most of us I think!).
I can understand how it appealed to you Tessa , such high quality of work shout out loud and most people will find it quite attractive. I could sit and look at his work for hours and not get bored, such skilled work is not often seen, I would love a tenth of his skill, oh to be able to get those beautiful translucent washes as good as this , dream on I hear myself saying.
