I wasn't expecting to see my work on here - I do not belong with the likes of Terence Cuneo! Sadly these days there seems to be an obsession in railway painting for photo-realism, especially with the Guild of Railway artists, and the likes of Cuneo and David Weston are far more to my taste, not to mention Monet at St Lazare. These are two of David's who I knew slightly.

Two other contemporary favourites are Rob Rowland and Philip Hawkins.
Thought I would add some aircraft painting , well,I would do having been in the RAF , the photos are taken from one of my books of aviation paintings Wright To Fly printed to celebrate a hundred years of powered flight. My apologies I’d a few of the photos are a bit wobbly looking , trying to get a page flat and taking a photo is just that but to awkward for me .
Wonderful images Paul.
amazing images all, really great!!!
I admire all of them.
