I have been at my daughter’s for a few days - sometimes life gets in the way of art! I have been looking in and enjoying but only briefly. This has been a terrific series and very enjoyable.  Many thanks and appreciation to Dixie and Jenny especially and to all who have contributed since the beginning. Long may it continue!

A few artists I featured.  I'm too lazy to copy and convert files at the moment. Sebastian Kruger's portrait of Alice Cooper (the rock star). His caricature of Bogart. A few more artists... Last one by Daniel Merriam.
You posted some fantastic artwork Lew and alway gave a good introduction.  Jenny emailed me yesterday with a list of names for future threads , I have a list of about three hundred artist , some are from back in the Victorian era etc but I will put a new list up in the next week or so . It’s the positive feedback that is so encouraging, we would have plodded on but somehow it feel much more worthwhile. It was a good day yesterday for positive things as Sandra Kennedy messaged me also offering to introduce some of the New Zealand artist that she find inspiring, I will add her suggestion to the list as well , be interesting to see if and how different the art styles are . I know from this thread that American artists tend to paint in much brighter colours and much bolder mixes etc, maybe that an idea for some studying. Thank you all for the comments and your support, do join in and share any of the past artists we have seen and ad their work to this thread .
Fantastic Lewis. The one by Mike Hill is a watercolour if I remember correctly, astounding.
Yes it was Russell, that thread was about colourful watercolours.
Y second attempt at posting on the thread today , I set it all up and assumed it had posted at eight this morning, looked ten minutes ago and discovered it had not posted. Two more artists from the Inspiration Tread archives, it’s been really interesting Loki g back and reviewing the artwork and the comments made on the original posting. Eudes Corriea Wk 96 introduced by me . Norman Rockwell Wk 94 introduced by Tessa , the last one iconic and evokes memories of the 60s
That cheeky one of Rockwell’s, the artist peering into the mirror - so good.
Ah yes I remember that! Correia also excellent.
Lovely selection from the back catalogue so to speak. Here's  John Knapp Fisher again; Week 103 And these from Brian Nolan, again - week 101

Enjoying this thread very much. Of the latest postings I really like the two girls sharing a ciggie, the self-portraitist checking the mirror, and some excellent ones from Andrew. Great idea to repost some of the "back catalogue" as we don't always remember or haven't caught up that week.
There is some jaw droppingly wonderful work on here - many thanks for keeping it coming. That Jeanne Vodden portrait had me screaming in frustration!
