Welcome to this weeks thread , I have made a change to the listed featuring artist as the two I was initially going to introduce painted boats . While one did landscapes as well I though it unkind to force to many maritime paintings on you . My featuring artists this week are :
Thomas W Shaller and g Moishi Sokal.
Thomas W Shaller is an American artist who predominantly paint watercolours. He became interested in drawing and art as young boy despite his father being anti art, hiding his drawings away . Thomas was given a book by his grandmother of painting in museums, he decided that painting would be his chosen profession. Fortunately he persevered with his ambition and today is a very accomplished artist .
I’ve not found a lot of information about him , so I’m hoping that his artwork says enough.

Like Russell I’ve never seriously tried the wizardry of watercolour, indeed it seems like a foreign language to me! This work is really high level and I like the depth of colour and tone he achieves which is sometimes lacking in watercolour, but which you are more likely to find in other mediums such as oils.
I like your first batch best Dixie, and like Lew, I feel the chap in the barber chair is a bit odd!
Here are a few that I chose.
