I bought a booklet of his bookplate that I use in the books I want to keep , the one you posted Lew is one of the six different plates.

I like bookplate art Paul.  Interesting that you are using them for ‘keeper’ books.  I have many I’d never part with, perhaps I’ll get round to making one.

They are quite something Lew and look really good in the books , my granddaughter calls then my special books when they have a bookplate in them . She like to look through my art books and will ask if she can have one of the special ones to look at .  A few more from Mr May , quite confusing as there are several famous Phill May on the internet, one who paints fabulous racing car scenes but he was working around 1925 so can’t be the same one .
