Welcome to this weekends bonus artist thread my choice of artist this weekend is a fellow Yorkshireman, all be it from Bradford.
Creig Everett 1969, a self taught artist born in the West Yorkshire town of Bradford and has lived there all of his life .
His earliest memory of drawing was when he was five years old, drawing Christmas card Santas .
Creig has drawn all his life and started painting aged 18 , his previous job was as a graphic designer before deciding to take up painting full time.
The run down warehouses and “ concrete kingdom “ of West Yorkshire were his playground and his work reflects this .
He continues to produce artwork from his West Yorkshire studio.
I hope you enjoy my choices of his work, do have a look online for more.
I chose his work as it’s superbly drawn and I find it a bit nostalgic and fun.

Another fascinating artist. His work appeals to me very much. As far as I can see so far, and I'll be looking into his work, his art falls into several themes. Some are cartoon style...
...these are very good, but it's his more realist style I like. But it's realism with a touch of fantasy. At least, that's what I'm seeing. He's looking back, so it's nostalgia. I think nostalgia always has an element of fantasy...for how accurate is our nostalgia?
The painting above is so beautifully done, but he's made it his own....
He has other styles that he calls 'urban' and 'pop' art...
Fabulous!

When I came across his work a while back my first thought was this is a Lew Cooer type of artist , and I’m not surprised that you like it . I couldn’t put it into the different styles as you have done , to me it’s just extremely well executed and most importantly it fun but with a serious touch , ENTERTAINING is probably a good description.

Some more from me before the heat closes in (I really don't like it.) Clearly, from Paul's post, that Hockney portrait is massive...
He paints buildings so well. A mix of ref material and imagination I'm assuming...
I like his pop art...
Sometimes he uses a muted palette, and others more vivid...
Great stuff!
