Welcome to this weekend’s bonus artist thread , the choice of artist this week came by chance due to a mix up on the thread this week .
I looked him up,and decided to use his work this evening.
Peter Baker 1954, is a British artist born in Banbury Oxfordshire where as a boy he spent most of day immersed in the countryside, fishing , discovering wildlife and the beauty of his surroundings.
From 1972 to 1983 he made a living as a golf professional but returned to his inevitable vocation and is now a renowned painter of landscapes and wild life .
Peter paints mostly in oils and occasionally in pastel and watercolours, he is especially known for his life like depiction of water and ability to dash off a astounding portrayal of tree foliage and vegetation with a 1” common or garden decorators brush.
He exhibits with the Pastel Society, the Royal Institute of oil Painters and the Royal Society of Marine Artists.
Bio information fro Invaluable.com.
I hope you enjoy his artwork.

Removed a couple of Ian's, duplicates as the site was questioning his bona fides! Shocked I was.....
The paintings shown - I've encountered Peter Barker before, and he's wonderful - are particularly fine, and a happy discovery, stumbled into by a mistaken attribution. The sunset is very appealing, and the porker, if not appealing exactly, is extremely well done. Much better that he's a painter than a golf pro - we all know who plays (and cheats at) golf.

And a few more,
