Welcome to this weekend’s bonus artist thread,I have chosen an American artist for this weeks thread :
Ruth C Hogstrom 1906-2007, was an American artist who painted portraits, figures, landscapes and still life .
Ruth began painting in the 19390s , she attended Massachusetts School of Art, now Massachusetts College of Art.She continued classes at West Palm Beach and St Augustine’s Florida at Elliot O’Haras Florida School and classes with William McNulty in the Cape Anne Summer School.
Ruth taught art classes for Gloucester High School and Endecott College in Beverly Massachusetts. She also taught portrait classes for more than thirty years in her home town of Gloucester Massachusetts.
I haven’t been able to find a lot oh her work on line , a mix of everything she did, portraits, etc .
