Welcome to this weekend’s thread my choice of artist this week is John Killens.
John Killens has painted full time since 2000, working in oils and pastel, a figurative painter more than half his work is en plein air which he finds a great stimulus and release from the more detailed studio work.
Being brought up by the sea with the Essex countryside around , maritime and landscapes are among his favourite subjects he finds colour vitality in a working factory as an unspoiled landscape .
