Ooo, I do like this a lot!
Another good find, Jenny. All the work posted is a delight to view.
I totally agree, the more I look at this artist's work the more I like it.
I prefer his more subtle, natural pieces, not so keen on the more colourful ones, but certainly another talented artist, and interesting to see. Thank you Jenny.
I think an interesting point about this artist - as opposed to a couple of other contemporary artists whose work has the effect on me of nails scraping a blackboard - is that he does use enhanced colour, but he also knows what he's doing with it; there's richness in his colour, and while this might not be the most obvious word, subtlety.  I look at some artists who would call themselves colourists, and just don't believe in them - I think they've worked out that highly-coloured work sells, and that's what they're going for: the cash.  Of course, I may be wrong about that, but even if I am, I still strongly dislike their work.  Far from disliking this artist's work, there's not a picture here I wouldn't love to hang on my walls. Affording them would be the only problem....  but if I could - thing is, he has such a feel for natural forms; so his knowledge of the way plants and foliage work is total; these are not gimmicks or tricks, nor any nod to passing artistic fashion.
I think that as Robert said he has a feel for natural forms , he obviously knows trees and how they form and shape . He has studied them to be able to reproduce the subtle twists, bend , and other shapes they naturally from that is difficult to replicate in artwork. To often the shapes etc of trees that we are all familiar with look stilted , unnatural and a if they are there just to fill the paper, he makes then look alive as if they are growing where you see them. I’m with Tessa I much prefer his more natural looking ones but don’t dislike his other ones just because I think they are a bit to bright coloured.
A few more…..
I think the first of Jenny's new posts (above) is soooo good, perhaps the closest to nature in reality...a real knockout painting for me.  And I'm liking  all of this artists work.
Think that’s my favourite of all those posted so far, Lewis.  I love a snow scene - the colours in this are beautiful and it has a lovely softness to it (and depth, like most of his work.)

Some of the colourful ones I like more than others but I do like that snowscene a lot.
Next week’s featuring artists are: Adam Hargreaves and Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin.
