A curious artist, with intriguing paintings.  Some of his work is distinctly surreal but most just seem to be a little odd.  He clearly has some imagination.   Here are two I liked, there's a common theme.  There is some subtlety in the second (I think), the sky seen through the left hand window isn't as dark as that seen through the open doorway on the right.
A lot of ships and boats feature in his artwork, I’m not sure what to make of it I think I need to look more at this work but I have selected a few I like .
I must admit, I preferred the former (apart from Boris).  The dreamlike unreal quality I find a bit disturbing.
Yes, his work is a bit strange and often surreal, but he does have a rather distinctive style and use of colour. Thought it worth looking at as it’s something a little different.

The evening seascape is a favorite. Most of his work seems as if he has taken more than one image from his log book and painted what he sees within his thoughts. A good choice, Jenny. When I viewed the last painting, the artist working on the landscape before him/her, onto a vast panel . . . Linda, came to mind.

Bottom left of your first painting, above, Dixie, the name of an artist Cristina Faleroni. I've done a search and her paintings are quite attractive.
I did notice that but the painting is signed By MS , do t know why her name appears.
Paul, I looked at this - the painting appears in an article (on her blog) that she wrote on his work.  All of the images she’s selected for her article have her name on them.

Thanks Jenny , I knew it was his work and I did think about posting it  but as I have seen on several occasions the name of a gallery or artist on a painting I decided to leave it and post .
Thanks Jenny and Dixie on your response. That's cleared that up :)
