Welcome to this weekends bonus artist , this week featuring artist is : Rachel McNaughton  is a watercolour painter from Yorkshire and is inspired by the environment she mainly paints landscapes and flowers. Rachel is a self taught artist who is especially skilled in mixing colours and creating different shades . Rachel’s favourite subject is painting flowers . I hope you enjoy my selection of her work and find some that you particularly like and share them with us.  Sorry the quality of the images is poor for some reason , they are fine on my pad but are not transferring very well.
They are special.  Thanks for the intro

I did think you might like them when I was posting it Sylvia, very much up your street I think particularly the flowers .
I like her colourful flower paintings, but prefer the landscapes, especially the first one below with pen and ink.  She has an attractive style and lovely use of colour.

Thanks for the bigger pictures - it's awkward when we can't increase the size on the forum -(or I can't, anyway - is it possible?).    I'm - oh I'm so proud! - a high myope!  Oh yes.  Sadly, all that means is that I'm extremely short-sighted; so thumbnails on the Forum are usually completely beyond me: I've got a big screen; I wonder if the Ipad (if I can ever manage to make it work) would be easier.   But I need a 12 year old child to help me with it, and can't find one.....
An iPad would solve that problem - you can simply stretch a thumbnail out with your fingers to increase the size of the image on the screen.  So much more convenient than a laptop!

It's wonderful to learn about her talent and passion for watercolor painting. It's impressive that Rachel has honed her skills in color mixing and creating various shades, as this is a crucial aspect of watercolor painting.
