A couple more.
These are little gems , thanks for the intro Lew .
Beautiful artwork, thanks Lew for the introduction to this superb artist. Well I’m greedy I’ve selected a load but could have been many more , hope I haven’t duplicated any .

I particularly like the 2nd one of Lewis’s, above. All very dramatic and “sweeping”. I can see their link to animated films. Impressive.
It's the stylised simplicity and vivid colour that appeals to me.  This extends to the animals in his paintings... More stylisation...just beautiful.... I love his snow scenes... Here's Eyvind with some of his Sleeping Beauty background paintings.  These were done in gouache.
What an amazing artist. Each painting is striking in its own way. Very talented. Thanks for bringing him to our attention Lewis.
All of the artists working for Disney back in the day were superb: like Lew, I can remember watching the Seven Dwarves, and being fascinated by the backgrounds, the trees especially, the colour - the story paled into insignificance. They use different methods now, not the pains-taking application of paint to cellulose (the origin of the paint first used by Chromacolor, the Canadian company - a version of which is now made by Chromacolour UK, incidentally), but computer-generated images - much easier: and much, much worse.  Different company, I know, but Wile E. Coyote and Buggs Bunny just aren't the same in CGI.
