If you let me have the name I will add it to the list and the week before it up for presentation I will let you know. Due to the list we have at present it will be about five or six weeks before your chosen artist will feature. That sounds great, Paul. Seeing how there is no private messaging feature on the forums, may I ask how you will let me know?

There used to be a means of contacting members - wonder what happened to it....
The other way of course is for members to email each other, if they have the email address, of course! I wonder if the General Data Protection regulations have prevented direct contact between members: unfortunate, if so.
Issue solved - see the Forum guide.

Great choice paintings Denise . I look at his work and as Robert said once before it either inspires you or you break your brushes I’m very inspired by his work , I would be happy to produce just one painting as good as this in my life let alone the hundred he has done.
Before we move on next weeks artists are Ernst and Tanguy , both presented and introduced by Michale.
Michale I have move Ng Woon Lam to a future date as you were away and I thought it better for you to do the introduction.

Chris Forsey is a popular Surrey-based British contemporary artist and tutor who began his career as an illustrator after studying graphics at Bristol. He is a self-taught painter in watercolour and acrylics, and is mostly interested in landscape, townscape and coastal subjects, regularly painting the North Downs landscape close to his home.
Regular appraisal of his style and technique has led him towards a mixed media approach combining watercolour, acrylic, pastel and gouache. His focus is on atmosphere, light and weather, and he prefers to work in his studio from location sketches and photographs. He has published a number of DVDs and books on his work and runs courses both in the UK and abroad. He does regular demos at my local art club and these are always very well supported by club members.

I was looking forward to this one, as I didn't know of his work at all - and the anticipation having turned to realization, I'm highly impressed - particularly by his mastery of colour and draughtsmanship. The combinations of materials he uses are interesting - and reminiscent of Ray Balkwill's combination of pastel and watercolour - Forsey adds gouache and acrylic: I'd be interested to know what surfaces he paints on: some would reward that approach more than others - does anyone know?

His artwork is new to me Jenny and from what you have posted it’s superb. Lucky you getting to see him work I can imagine club members eagerly awaiting his demos . I will have a look at his work more closely before I make any further comments or post any I like. Thanks for the introduction it seems more personal as you have met him.
