Welcome to this week’s bonus artist the artist featured this weekend is :  Charles E Turner 1893-1964 . Turner was born in Lancaster and based himself in Liverpool, he specialised in Maritime and Landscape art. He held the rank of Captain for the Royal  Air Force in WW1 , and spent WW11 as a war artist.  The work he produced in both wars is preserved the National Maritime Museum and the Imperial War Museum. He worked for commercial companies including Dunlop Tyres  and Churchill Cigars.  This is another artist recently discovered whilst researching for this thread , I particularly like his maritime paintings his landscapes are also very good .  I like his commercial posters etc and hope that more is featured by yourselves.  Have a good weekend and enjoy the artwork.
Another lovely collection Dixie, and I do like the first in particular and the Haddon Hall poster. He painted some terrific action war scenes and I found one in B&W ( not sure if in colour originally but all I could find) of two people you might recognise.
An admirable artist, I particularly like his poster work.
A few more before we change to this weeks two artists.
I like his travel posters.

Fascinating and very appealing work, I especially like the Cunard poster.
