I'm with Sylvia on this - her work is so different to the mainstream and relies so much on shapes, colours and pattern - almost abstract in many senses. A real pleasure to come across her work.

So glad you like them. Some of them are quite large scale as befits the subject and they do benefit from seeing on a larger screen if you are able to. I tried to find some of her earlier pre-Cornwall work to compare, but no success.
Wonderful artist, Tessa. I am looking in from time to time but have trapped a nerve in my groin/ hip which is very painful( from a back injury). Doing as little as poss. Well done to everyone for their enthusiasm and great choices.
Ouch Marjorie, sorry to hear that. Thought you hadn’t posted much recently (nor have I!) apart from your wonderful dresser painting. Hope you improve soon with rest. X
Hope you recover soon Marjorie, back problems can be so debilitating , take care and look after yourself.
Yes, hope you recover soon Marjorie!   Tessa, Sarah Adams’ work is fascinating - she has chosen such a unique subject matter.  The cliffs and rock faces in her paintings have a really majestic feel to them.  I read her artist’s statement on her website, it’s really informative, like taking a geology lesson! (and I love the fact that she takes her dog for company on her trips searching for inspiration!)

The artist at work what a superb environment to work in  you certainly get a idea of  the scale of the caverns etc from this photo no wonder she uses huge  canvases.

Marvellous paintings and so original. I wonder how big they are? Even more spectacular to view if they were on the large side.
Russell yes most I think are around two metres by one, though I remember the one I saw at her studio as in progress , possibly bigger than that, though it was 3-4 years ago so the memory could be fooling me!

Fabulous stuff - again, an artist of whom I was entirely unaware until today.  Marjorie - I have chronic back and hip issues, and you have my sympathy (come to that, I have my sympathy, too...).  Gentle, staged exercise when you can will help: I hope you won't be stuck with chronic pain, but if you are, the one thing I can do, and it helps a lot, is walk - OK,  I'm slow; but I'd just stop working altogether if I didn't stay mobile.  In the meantime, keep warm, and make sure your bed is comfortable - there are those who'll tell you that what you need is a firm mattress: no you don't.  They're for people like Prussian generals, who thought it good to be as uncomfortable as possible in all circumstances because it bred character.  You don't want to be a Prussian general: a nasty lot of old horrors on the whole.....
Waterfall Cave. I can't believe what I am seeing. What stunning paintings of rock formations. Totally superb work. I must say Tessa, hat's off, what a great pick. Just fantastic work. Hope you recover soon Marjorie.
