All done Jenny , thanks for pointing them out .
Oh god, oh god, oy vey iz mir, why, or why, did I suggest so many?  Mind you, there we are = I'll do you a Dufy, and the rest; really, never give Paul a list, he's got you then, in his orang-utan grip.   I'd better download that list, so I don't get caught by surprise.  I will never suggest a list to him again - this will pain me, but one must suffer for one's art. Paul - I quite enjoy it really, so ignore this peal of self-pity.
Mind you, Gentileschi?  Eh?  Did I REALLY suggest that - I bet you made that one up.... I know damn' all about Gentileschi; I'm not even sure he was a painter: over to the reference books then.....   Are you SURE, young Dean, that you're not making some of these names up?  I shall know, you know - when you suggest I should cover Cuthbert Alvar Huggins, RA; I shall then know you are simply toying with me....
Well, Gentileschi was a she not a he, so I’m guessing Robert didn’t suggest her, or he would know that!
Robert stop moaning you know you are enjoying it really so do we .  You must remember to be polite to your elder young man . Tessa Robert forgot half the names of artists he suggested on his very long list, mind you it was some time ago he did say that he had been looking at different artists at the time . But you could be right and I’ve assigned the artist to him wrongly but he’s a tough old campaigner and will come to the fore when needed , won’t you Robert . Well that’s me off his Christmas list then,  oh hang on I don’t think I was on it anyway come to think of it .
Surely we are all on his Christmas list? 😉
Well, of course you all are! Gentileschi - yes, caught out there; I do now know who she is, or rather was, but had clearly forgotten.  I do that quite a lot....  Some of the painters I suggested I don't even like!  I only suggested them to open up the selection a bit - I hadn't any great desire to write about them; but there you are, suggest something to Mr Dean and he chuckles evilly and puts you down as the one to cover it.   I wouldn't mind covering Gentileschi, now I've refreshed my memory: she had a fascinating story; but!  I'm not greedy - if anyone else would like to do that one, feel free - I shan't suffer from any sense of being robbed.   Got to wonder how old Paul is, if he refers to me as "young man" - somewhere to the North of 93 would be my guess....
In fact, because I'm just so damn' generous - can't help myself, it's in the genes you know - I'm going to cover two Dufys: Raoul and his brother Jean; so if anyone wants to add their favourites from either, now's the time to have a good look online. All this assumes my pc and internet connection hold out, of course: always a caveat worth making since we suffer from too many trees colliding with old copper phone wires round here (I say, that'd be a jolly good excuse - I mean: who would know if I were cut off or merely shirking?).
Robert when I joint the airforce Pontius was training to be a pilot ,  my age is  that of a old man so less of it young fella.  I’m like the old oaks I’ve grown ,matured and now in my declining years but still plodding along , a good walk each morning and plenty of tea  , notice tea not G & T .
Dixie, would you like to add Thierry Bruet to your list?  He's a French satirical artist who paints in oils, and is a little bit different to our usual artists.
