Hi all and welcome e to the Bonus artist for this weekend .  Following a suggestion by Jenny , Vadym Suvorov  born 1986 in Ukrainian, I looked up the artist felt that it was a good idea to feature his work .  Whist browsing I came across Maria Oksentiyivna Prymachenko 1909- 1997.  She was a Ukrainian folk art painter  in a naive style and was self taught.  When you see her work you will understand why I included her as well.  I will leave it to Kenny to put up some painting for her chosen artist. I have selected these from the large selection available .  Enjoy looking at the artwork and keep Ukrainian in mind . J

This is a selection by Vadym Suvorov - I really like both his portraits and landscapes.  A lovely style of painting. Portrait of Alexandra Portrait of Olga Portrait of Victoria Snow in the Carpathians (Couldn’t find title for last two.)

I like the landscapes as well Jenny, especially the second. Will look the artist up later, yet another I was unaware of!
He is a superb artist Jenny , his portraits are really good, I like his landscapes and boat paintings they are excellent.  I could not find the names of the paintings  unfortunately.
Superb paintings
I have just read a article about Maria Prymachenko , she has always been a national favourite with the a Ukrainian people and is currently undergoing a resurgence.  Her work was always seen as loyal to a Ukrainian and had a slight snub to Russia . A local man recently risked his life to recover 25 of her paintings from a local gallery that was on fire due  to shelling.  Even in such fearful times and at great risk,  people still think about art, and take risked to save it.
Jenny, I liked his work especially his portraits and paintings of boats. I particularly liked this still life. Paul, I am glad someone saved the artwork, it certainly has a style of it's own.
