Hi,
I'd just like to introduce myself. I have recently started painting acrylic compositions on A3 canvas, surrealism and abstract are my preferred subjects. I'm very much into figure painting/modelling (soldiers), have decided to deviate towards actual painting because I feel as though I've reached my personal apex regarding figure painting. I don't consider myself a natural artist but I enjoy having a go, find it exciting!
Just wanted to say hello before I upload a few of my paintings. I am also 100% self taught, never been to art school or anything! Are figures allowed to be uploaded on here or is this website strictly for painting only? I look forward to conversing about art with you all on here.

Hi Gavin and welcome to POL . In answer to your question we are about painting and display them in the gallery as you know . What you could do is add some of your figures to this thread to show us what you do with them no one will then take umbrage . We are a friendly lot most of the time and do try to help out when we can . Have a look at the forum there is a lot going on that you can join in , most of use are self taught and we tend not to go in for the art critic gobbledegook.

No problems for me with ipad of phone Gavin….if they are in your photo album there should be no prob. Remember to edit them so they come the right way up.
