Having just completed my first year of a two year Masters in Entrepreneurship in Creative Practice, I have reflected on the year and am very puzzled. Although I have passed all my assignments and achieved all my learning outcomes for the course, I feel that there was an unwritten agenda that I only found out about when I broke the rules. e.g. every student is expected to keep a sketchbook; don't copy the masters to learn a technique or style, don't paint oil on canvas, contemporary is good, traditional is bad, all essays must be illustrated. Am I the only one who has experienced this? Also during the course I painted less and sold less, because I was so busy writing essays, despite being a course in entrepreneurship. >:-)
