Fortuitously, I've just set up my ACF canvas - and my order from the Supreme Paint Company arrived: I don't know how they do it; ordered on Sunday, shipped on Monday, here today, Tuesday: double boxed carefully wrapped, they've even taken trouble with the design of the Invoice.... I've no hesitation in recommending this company, because it's run by artists - and is one of the few places where you can buy Rublev, Michael Harding, and Wallace Seymour paints, together with other premium brands, from one website.  I got Nicosia Green, and Ultramarine Red Shade from Rublev, and Yellow Ochre from Michael Harding.  So - no further procrastination, I've my canvas prepared, I have my subject - from my own photograph and sketch - so: orf we go. PS: I suffered to achieve this subject: I should have realized the ground would be wet underfoot, and cows have trampled, and excreted, through it: if I'd stopped at the point I intend to paint, I'd have been all right; but no, I wanted to explore further - and got stuck: couldn't move backwards, had to continue forwards, armed with a shepherd's crook and, happily, good walking shoes.  Obviously, I DID get through and back to the road (having taken a wrong path) but I so nearly didn't: had I fallen, I'd never have been able to get up again unaided - a lesson here to those of senior years: know your limits!  I shall certainly know mine, thinking of what I'd have looked like, and smelled like, coated in mud and cow poo - assuming I'd be found at all....
You see, there’s always a good story to Plein air painting, memories of the day, the weather, the cow pats etc! Looking forward to seeing the painting Robert.
Stop moaning Jones and get on with will you . Nice story would be good with a Video to go along with it .
I have NO intention of providing a video - indeed, who would have taken it: a cow, possibly. Anyway - remiss of me not to mention this company's own art supply website, which also features Wallace Seymour paint, and here is where to go: https://artsupplies.hooluh.co.uk/wallace-seymour-artists-oil-colour-paint It takes me a long time to change trusted suppliers, but Supreme Paint Company is on the speciality side - very few suppliers, other than Jacksons, and maybe Gerstaecker, can afford to hold the huge stocks of different brands of paint which make the ones that do a treasure trove.
