Last week I treated myself to a big new mop brush of squirrel hair. My dog has attacked and eaten it- just the bristles not the handle. Neither dog has ever bothered with any of my paints, pastels or brushes or other equipment before. Just this one brush.
I would have thought they would be treated during manufacture and surely can't smell of squirrel to a very keen nosed dog?????
Most of my other brushes are synthetic although I do have a set of Kolinsky sable that the dogs are not interested in.
