There are two aspects to this book- the traciings and the colours used by the author. The tracings are ideal for those who want to interpret them with their own selection of pigments and are able to do so.A number of the pigments used by the author are not only fugitive but in the case of two of them, only fit for graphic and textile design and without lightfastness testing, according the pigments manufacturer, Schminke. So to do as the author suggests, as is the general idea for people who buy "how to" books, at least initially, then you will firstly have to buy pigments that are fugitive and having done your painting, you can look forward to it fading. Not a good buy in my opinion unless you want the tracings.
