A short while ago I bought the Town House DVD 'Painting the Light in Oils' by Peter Wileman; you are probably familiar with his work in The Artist. Over the period of a day he paints a few pictures in a wonderful free style, very inspiring, he really gets you wanting to give it a go.
It then occurred to me that if he can knock out four or five paintings in a day like this at the prices he can charge he must be earning a fortune. By coincidence a local gallery had one of his recent paintings and this had obviously taken much longer, so the demo pictures in the DVD should be regarded as a kick-start to experimentation, not a 'make a picture just like me' type of presentation and all the better for it.
