I have almost completed a painting and I am now in two minds as to whether to add a cow on the left or on the right of the picture or should I leave it out altogether? .
Nice work Pat, to the left please.
Yup tis a goodun - like Alan to the left.
I'm no great expert Pat, but my eye rests better with Daisy on the left - so the others are right.
Well I like the right hand moo cow. But then I would do two or three. Its odd to see one on its own,and why not add a calf as well...no pressure. Though on further reflection it could (they ) go back a bit and more toward the right middle.

Excellent. Leave cow in. I would go left one for the better balance overall. LOL at Sylvia, she wants a herd including calf- not safe for dog walker, would distress me personally :-D
For the balance in the composition: to the left (in my opinion).
To beef, or not to beef? That (really) is the question. +1 for the left.
Looks ok to me Pat.
Hello, Thank you once again for your valuable suggestions. As Syd has said, why have a cow in the first place. So maybe I should leave everything as it is as shown in the picture on the right. The one on the left is a photofit composition done on my PC which is why the cow has a halo.
Pat, the cows add life and interest. Its a lovely landscape but seeing the two together the work needs something or it will be just another empty landscape, maybe chickens or a few small goats or reduce the size of the cows.
Oh Carol! You have set the cat amongst the pigeons - Syd will have something to say about that no doubt, hee hee!
