I've just added a new video to the Community Videos page all about painting this image of a winter tree in acrylic:
That one beautiful tree Davis and so beautifully painted. Tree are so majestic throughout the different  seasons and always look so good.
Fine painting, David, and I shall scramble immediately over to the Community vids page to enjoy it as you paint it.   You're quite a bit younger than I am, I think (all too many people seem to be....) but I wonder if you remember the quality of acrylics 40 to 50 odd years ago - it would have been extremely difficult to find all the hues needed (all, or the RIGHT ones) for a painting like this: their progress in my lifetime has been staggering.
Wow, I'll be scooting straight over to the community vids also. It's a fantastic tree.
That is a beautiful image David and also like the Misty effect.
Enjoyed the video and suggest others have a watch: it's also on YouTube.  David doesn't just use brushes!  Not on acrylics, anyway - I hope he doesn't adopt quite the same methods with oil paint, because it would be slightly hazardous, at least un-gloved: go on, take a look.
I've watched it Robert and can't wait to have a go at this. It's amazing what you can create without using a brush.
I have also watched David’s video demo Robert and was very inspired by his unusual painting technique for the painting. Would  definitely say watch it it really is well worth it!
Dear all: many thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed the film, D x.
