I have a family who come here ...they are quite shy and apprehensive but just a privilege to see. Nice colourful pic Steve.

The GSW is an occasional visitor to this garden too - I once referred to it as the Greater Wooded Spotpecker, but it really doesn't do that - and is far too swift to be drawn in situ; so you've not much alternative other than photographs or dead specimens - you were brave, Grampy, to take on a subject like this: our friend Pratim Das has made drawing and painting birds his life's work, but it's not easy! http://www.isleofwightlandscapes.net http://www.wightpaint.blogspot.co.uk
