I'm half way through an acrylic painting on a large canvas (28" x 36"). I've never used anything this big before. Anyway, I had to leave it on the easel for a few weeks and now I've come back to it I notice that the frame is not quite right. One corner has bent behind a bit, I suppose it has warped. I don't think the canvas was like this originally. If I take the canvas and lay it on a table, I can force it to lie flat, but it won't do it on its own. So, my question is, is there a solution to this? Should I leave it under a pile of books for a week and see if that straightens it? Do I need to remove the canvas and put it on another frame? (This sounds drastic, I really don't want to do this!) Or, should I just leave it? I am selling it unframed, will framing it straighten it out?
