Founded in 1895, the highly esteemed Royal Miniature Society's annual exhibition of around 700 works is the worlds foremost showcase for contemporary miniature art. While traditional portrait subjects continue unabated, todays artists incorporate a very broad range of subjects. Within a size limit of 6in. by 4in., themes include landscapes,still life,interior scenes, birds, animals and sculpture. This years exhibition offers a unique opportunity to see a special loan collection of royal Portrait Miniatures dating from Elizabeth 1 to our present Queen.
