Seascape/Landscape Workshop in Pastel Pencils

Seascape/Landscape Workshop in Pastel Pencils

Workshop on creating seascapes or landscapes in pastel pencil

This workshop is primarily aimed at showing you how to use pastel pencils which are harder in density than their chunkier stick relations. They are fun to use and together we will have some fun exploring this different and creative medium. I will start by showing you some techniques and ways to apply these pastels to a seascape/landscape, as well as some of the effects with various pastel papers that you can create. The day will start at 10.00am so please arrive around 9.50am. The morning session will start with a practical one hour demonstration in which I show you some of the techniques I use. You will then begin painting yourself and I'll be on hand to help you create an image of a seascape or landscape using pastel pencils. A hot fish and chip lunch (unless you request otherwise) will be provided at 1pm and, after lunch, we will continue with our pastel work. The day will finish around 4.30pm. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day. The workshop will be held at my light and airy studio located at Paul Apps Fine Art, 7-9 Marine Walk Street, Hythe, Kent CT21 5NW. Please bring your own pastel pencils, drawing boards and pastel paper will be provided. Owing to space, numbers are very limited. Book early to avoid disappointment.
