{the Course} The course is for artists of all levels from beginners to experienced painters using water colours, pastels oils or acrylics with a flexible approach to what you want to achieve with your art. As a working artist J P will work along withyou demonstrating different approaches to painting and choosing subject matter. A typical day will include breakfast followed by an art demonstration then painting until lunch(12.30-2). then back to the studio or on location in the grounds (2-4.30)and evening meal 7.30.There will be loads of time for personal tuition since the groups are for only 8 artists. Using your own art materials will help get you settled in and relax while you paint, whether it is water colours,pastels or oils. Location visits (weather permitting) Access to the Studio during the day and evening. Plenty of opportunities for relaxing in the garden and pool. Full board with accommodation in twin-bedded rooms all with private facilities. All meals at Lahon - continental breakfast, light lunch, 3 or 4 course evening meal,coffee, tea, water and, wine withmeals. On one evening we organise a meal at a local restaurant - cost of meal,wine and transport included. Winetasting and barbecue at a local vineyard (dependent on availability). Visit toPau or the Pyrenees. NOTE: If you wish to stay in the area before or after your course, you may be able to stay with us or we can recommend localchambres d'hote {Whats not included} Travel toFrance - Ryanair make regular flights to Lourdes airport from Stansted about 40minutes from us, Pauairport is the nearest at about 20 minutes. Alternatives are Toulouse andBordeaux, both about two hours bytrain or car to Pau; Biarritz is about one hour twenty minutes. It is two daysdrive or 12 hours by train from London.
