BENJAMIN JENSEN paintings have an undefined feel to them instead drawing on a mix of pop art, expressionism, surrealism, collage, graffiti and illustration. He embraces a communications breakdown where quirky characters, animals and random objects can inhabit the same space as more traditionally painted scenes that fade in and out like memories. Colours and patterns also play a role too both vying for attention within the layered composition. Throughout the work there is a balance of control and chaos allowing for an expressive freedom with smudges and random attacks of spray paint but then reigning it in with delicate brush strokes and use of bold graphical forms that burst off the canvass.

MIA HAWK is a self taught London based artist, originally from Norway. She mainly uses works with watercolour and ink and get inpired by colours and the play of paint. Expressing know forms in unusual colours. Portraits that seem to have come from a dream world. She loves paint running and splashing out from the original composition. Like a constantly moving creative force that has come together for only one moment to form a picture, already spilling out and over to the next creation.
