A very creative Workshop using Pastels. I will show you how I create beautiful pastel skies and Landscapes/ Seascapes using pan pastels and pastels. I will show you how I use pastels to create the same effects as watercolours, you will be able to draw over your pastel work with pencil, ink, charcoal, literally anything. And if you make a mistake, simply rub it out and start again. You will have use of over £120 worth of pastels per student, including 10 Pan Pastels, We will cover composition, tonal values and how not to create FLAT and un-interesting surfaces. How NOT to copy photographs and why this is important. I supply your Easle, Boards, Towel, Pastels, 3 different types including Pans and Papers. You will need to bring a few things though,, some masking tape, or clips to fix your paper to the board, an eraser/rubber, pencil and sketching paper or sketch pad. I will supply papers for your actual paintings. Also something to take your work home in. We will be doing some work with inks, which I will supply, but you will need a half inch brush, nothing special, water pot, and palette, something to mix your colours in.
