Art Lovers far and wide, local or from further afield always look forward to the Farnham Art Society Annual Exhibition. This year there is a new summer timing for our 69th Annual Exhibition at the James Hockey & Foyer Galleries showing the most recent works from professional and amateur artists and continuing the longstanding artistic link with UCA. Among our membership of professional artists, many of whom are also members of the Wapping Group, RI and SWA, are Fellows of the Royal Society of Arts along with highly gifted amateurs, both keeping the standard of work exhibited at our annual exhibition to a very high standard and benefiting Farnham as one of England's “Town of Craft”. A selection panel of professionals ensures the Annual Exhibition reflects the vitality and diverse ambitions of its membership and is open to the influences of contemporary and traditional arts. Each year around 4000 visitors view the 400 paintings, ceramics and sculpture exhibited giving them a great opportunity to snap up unique affordable art. Entrance is free and there is easy parking for visitors and disabled access. Opening times are from 9.30 to 5.00 daily with the exception of a 11am start on Sunday 10 July and the last day closes at 3pm. Our private view is on Tuesday 5th July from 6pm – 8pm when the exhibition will be opened by Professor Magdalene Odundo, Professor of Ceramics at UCA.
