Strong vibrant oil paintings are complimented by delicate watercolours. Acrylics and mixed media provide the basis for unusual approaches. The use of colour in dynamic ways brings freshness and a move away from pure photographic representation . Small and large works will be on display. This group of painters have been influenced by their surrounding in different locations and use a range of media to express the emotions this evokes. Of the 6 women exhibiting their works 5 are sisters and the 6th is from the next generation. 4 paint regularly and 2 are occasional painters. The venue is easy to find on the A418 between Aylesbury and Leighton Buzzard. The gallery is in an 'off the hidden track' barn that will be well signposted. It will be open from Sat 25 Oct to Fri 25 Oct 2014 daily from 11am-6pm. If you like to paint plein air, you are invited to do so, during daylight hours, as there are some interesting rustic agricultural buildings and objects on site.
