Diyframing is 10 years old and there’s lots of stories to share about what they have achieved in the first decade. Starting in the proverbial garden shed the company has grown to be the leading training school and supplier of anything framing in the UK, it now occupies a 7,500 sq ft purpose built warehouse on the Crusader Industrial Estate, Stirling Road, High Wycombe. Owner Duncan McDonald said “ I struggled many years ago to get the right tools and training to start a home framing business this gave me the inspiration for starting Diyframing and the UK School of Framing. We mainly specialize in small home operations or hobby framers of which there are many thousands out there” The UK School of Framing trains approx 600 people a year throughout the country on all the practical aspects of doing picture framing from home. Furthermore they supply all the right tools and materials either online or by visiting the trade centre on the Cressex Industrial estate. To celebrate their anniversary they have arranged a Big Reunion and Open day on Saturday 2nd November 2013 at the headquarters in High Wycombe and have invited students past and present to come and see the changes that they have experienced over the past decade. Potential new customers/ framers are also welcome to this event. During the day there will be 2 FREE picture framing seminars, slide shows, tours of a fully functioning framing facility, a talk on maintain your equipment, demonstrations of full range of kit, special offers on a range of framing equipment & accessories and there will be great savings and a sale on a range of stock and ex gallery mouldings. There will also be a photo gallery of the progression from the garden shed to the new HQ and few photos of people on courses from as far back as 2003.
