This is our fifth Wanstead Art Trail, a two week celebration of the arts in Wanstead. This year's theme - Make Art Not War 2014.- will be highlighted in a public art project funded by Redbridge Council. The Peace Dove will be created in a series of workshops and completed at the Wanstead Festival on 14 September. It will then be displayed for the final week. On 20 September people can join workshops to try their hand at making pottery, life drawing, card making and other crafts at the Churchill Hall in Wanstead Library. Also commemorating the 1914 centenerary is Home Front, where local people will create art in their front gardens, or host sculpture or other crafts. Their work will be featured with photographs on the website during the Art Trail fortnight. Other events will be announced on our website: www.artgroupwanstead.com
