Acrylics Workshops Series

Acrylics Workshops Series

A course of 4 weekly workshops. Tuesdays – 9.30pm – 3pm. The workshops run on Tuesday 6, 13, 20 and 27 March A foundation and introduction to four completely different approaches to using acrylic paints. Ideal for students of any ability to, either, gain a good foundation or expand their knowledge and skills.

Designed to help you gain confidence and enjoy this medium by approaching it in both the traditional and more unusual ways. We will also be painting four completely different scenes as part of this workshop series (see below). By request from the last class I have chosen flowers, reflections, a beach/sea and animals. Brushes needed – You will require your own brushes for this course and they are the same for all four parts. Long or short handles according to your taste. I suggest all medium/soft density nylon acrylic brushes – two rounds of No. 2 and No. 4, a filbert of No. 6. and a ¾” inch flat – these can be bought by the tutor for £20 if paid for and ordered at The Steel Rooms by 28 February. Also a fine rigger brush and a selection of a few textural sea sponges would be useful.
