Acrylics day for beginners
16.2.13 Acrylics Day Acrylics are often hailed as an easy alternative to oil paints and in certain ways they can be considered easier for sure, but they also have many disadvantages. So this workshop has been designed to focus on how you can get the very best out of this adaptive medium. Work it like a watercolourist or an oil painter - it is an all rounder. Learn how to set up and maintain a palette and control the pigment in numerous ways. It’s a fun day and will leave you with a much greater understanding about Acrylic paint. The day will be start at 10.00 am, so arrive around 9.50 am. It will end around 4.00pm to 4.30pm. A hot lunch of fish & chips unless you request otherwise will be provided along with refreshments during the day. Boards and table easels are provided for use. You will need your painting equipment and paints. You are welcome to bring your own canvasses x 2 @ 12” x 16”. I will also be offering Canvas paper to work upon.
